Some believe NDEs are spiritual. They think these experiences show that the soul leaves the body and enters another realm. Others believe they are simply the brain reacting to trauma, releasing chemicals that create visions and feelings of peace. Scientists have studied NDEs and found that lack of oxygen, brain activity, or even dreams could explain them. I think NDEs could be a mix of both. Science may explain some parts, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t meaningful. Maybe they reveal something about human consciousness we don’t fully understand yet. Whether they prove life after death or not, NDEs are powerful and often change the way people live, making them appreciate life more.
